It’s been a busy time at Eastfield and I hope you enjoy reading this brief summary of all our exciting events and activities.
At the end of a busy term I would like to thank all our Parents and Friends for all your support and wish you a happy Christmas break.
The children in Reception did a splendid job of sharing the true meaning of Christmas when they performed Whoops a Daisy Angel t their parents. It was a joy to see how they have grown in confidence over the autumn term.

Year 5’s Egyptian Assembly
Once again the children excelled! Year 5’s Egyptian Assembly brilliantly showcased their learning over the past term. Thank you also to Parents and staff for joining in.
Thank you to all who came to our Values Assembly where we acknowledge the value of kindness by awarding specifically selected pupils with the ‘Kind Star’, pupils who have shown acts of Kindness on numerous occasions. Well done children!
A selection of pupils who achieved 100% attendance for this term. 112 pupils in total were awarded certificates for 100% attendance. Excellent
Our children have also been busy in our local community. What a privilege it is leading such fantastic pupils!
A Creative Curriculum
Our lovely Natalie, reception’s teacher of Pink class, is the D&T co-ordinator. One again she planned a series of creative lessons to celebrate this festive season. Look at our children’s amazing sewing skills…

Farewell Mrs Parkhouse
It is always a sad time when staff leave; a time of mixed emotions. After dedicating over 20 years to Eastfield, Mrs Parkhouse has now retired. We will miss her dearly. My great staff teamed up with a couple of staff from our past and threw a leaving assembly for her, to honour her significant contribution to not only hundreds of children over the years -but hundreds of families too! Good luck Mrs Parkhouse, our Queen of Music. We wish you all the best and so much more. Thank you to Mrs Virciglio, our secret helper, Mrs Findlay, our secret lyrics writer, the choir made up of past and present pupils, all staff (past and present) and our wonderful children because together we rock!
Our Carol Concert at St James’ Church
Mrs Parkhouse led a wonderful Carol Concert on the last day of term. Here children, staff, parents and friends sang together. What a super end to a super term. Thank you to Reverend Ian Gallager for the warm welcome we always receive and for popping into our Year 6 too! Thank you also to the community at St James’ for donating gifts and vouchers to members of our community. Your generosity is overwhelming.
Happy Holidays to you all!
