At Eastfield, we understand the value of outdoor learning and with the limited space we have on our school site, we are always looking for opportunities for our children to grow, to learn and to flourish. Year 6 had an amazing time at Tolmers camp last week. They took part in many outdoor activities but more importantly their learning has flow.
The have worked collaboratively to solve problems. They have learned how to stay safe and look after each other. I hope they learned how to stay clean after a day in muddy fields! All in all the feedback has been extremely positive from both adults and pupils. The site staff and caterers all commented on the impeccable manners and courteous ways our children worked with them.
Welcome back Year 6!
Not all our children attended the residential. Those remaining also had outdoor experiences coupled with creative indoor projects too. It has been a great week for Year 6.
Standing Ovation Project
Once again, the school was alive with drama and song! The Standing Ovation Project director, Anthony Daulphin, paid us another visit. His theme was “The Greatest Show on Earth.” We all sang and joined in the electric atmosphere. Many thanks once again to Anthony for honouring us with his magic!
Community Information Afternoon
Huge thanks to our Joan for arranging another informative afternoon for our community. The Scouts and Brownies came to share information, dance clubs, the local swimming pool, A Place 2 Be, our local boys in blue where there too! A variety of organisations came to offer their services to our families.
Have a great weekend
