Reading, Science and Red Noses!
Over the past couple of weeks we have been rather busy. Mrs Spence organised a wonderful Eastfield Book Day whereby we all came into school, dressed as our favourite book character and spent the whole day immersed in a variety of reading activities. The day ended with our reading buddies. Here, children from our upper school were paired with younger children and simply enjoyed some quality time, reading to each other. We all had a brilliant day. Thank you to our Parents and Carers for taking time to ensure our pupils looked like fantastic book characters for a day!
Miss Goodfellow has spent months organising an utterly super Eastfield Science Week. We all took part in a forensic themed week. We had to solve the mystery of the missing laptop. It was a tricky challenge but our children rose to the occasion and simultaneously achieved extremely impressive learning through investigation and exploration. Their conclusions were spot on. Mrs Blair was the culprit; though currently she is appealing this decision! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our families who came in to be a part of our learning this week. It was a magnificent experience sharing the children’s learning with you!
Red Nose Day
The week ended with an air of redness. All our community came together once again to raise funds for children.
