Wriggle Nativity

Once again our children made us extremely proud when we opened our doors to our community so they could join us for Reception’s “Wriggle Nativity”.

It was a joy to see the progress the children have made since September. They each had a spoken part which they executed with great confidence. They mesmerised the audience with their beautiful singing and brought smiles o our faces with their dancing. Some sang solos and others played percussion instruments. We even had a guitarist perform! It truly was mazing. Well done children and staff.

Festive Sing-A-Long

On the frostiest day of the year, we all bared the elements and had a whole school Festive Sing-A-Long in the playground. It was delightful. Thank you to all who came to sing with us. Christmas has certainly arrived at Eastfield!

Violin and Cello Concert

Once again we were entertained by our super talented Year 4 pupils who held a musical performance this week, show casing their learning this term. They were truly magnificent!

Thank you to all who attended. I’m sure you will agree, our children rock!

Learning Café

Miss Judd and Miss McHugh held a “Crafternoon” this week. It was an opportunity for parents to pop in and share creative learning with our pupils. Thank you to all involved. The children (and their adults) produced splendid Festive decorations.

Ivy Parliament Day

For the second week running we have been privileged to be involved in yet another exciting Ivy Learning Trust event. This week’s focus was on our newly formed Ivy Parliament. Children from all our schools heard from Trustees about their lives and roles and also had an opportunity to interview headteachers on policies and the academy. The children decided on ways to improve the academy together. What a super day they had.

Enjoy the weekend. Wrap up warmly! It’s been a chilly week.
