Summer Fun!

Summer Fun!

On Monday, we had sirens and flashing lights as Reception children enjoyed a visit from a Metropolitan Police patrol car. Our ‘Boys in Blue” did us proud once again when they popped in to have a chat with our Reception classes. Great #CommunitySpirit. Our children were so excited by the visit it inspired them all to write thank you letters!

Tuesday saw Year 5 host a Science Fair to exhibit their engineering designs aimed at helping others in their community. Here is the runner up

Here is the winner! Well done to all our Year 5s who put in a huge amount of thought and effort into this project! #FutureInventors

Thank you to Gary and Anthony, our site team, who helped Year 2 put out the Great Fire of London! Well done Year 2 for literally bringing learning to life!

Our annual Summer Fair was on Thursday! What a glorious event it was. We played, got splashed, laughed, sung and danced as one family. Our director of fundraising orchestrated us all. Thank you Dawn for your energy and drive and thank you to all staff, parents, children and friends who not only helped and attended but who continue to support Eastfield Primary School on a daily basis. A big shout out to Mr Photiou for being the best DJ in the world … you created the perfect atmosphere for our fair!

On Friday, our wonderful maths guru, Peter Warwick, held a Maths workshop for Reception and Year 1 parents. It makes it all worthwhile when we see so many parents in school supporting their children’s learning by attending our events. #TogetherWeAreGreat

Yesterday, Joan took members of our community to Brighton for our annual Family Day Out. She certainly picked the best day and hottest day of the year to do this. Thank you so much for your dedication and commitment to our school!
