Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow…
In all my years of teaching I have never had to close the school for a snow day. This year, due to the fact that many of my staff live quite a distance from the school, they were unable to travel in to work safely; hence my decision to close. I hope you all enjoyed the day having fun with your children in the snow!
This was by far one of the best nativity performances we have ever had at Eastfield. Thank you to all who came. The hall was alive and a Christmas feeling echoed throughout our school.
For the second successive year, our pupils were crowned champions once again. The children took part in a variety of sporting events against 11 other schools. Well done children we are all extremely proud of your achievements.
Thank you to our CiA and staff for organising our fair. It was a great success. Father Christmas popped in to give our children presents. Thank you to all who came and for the many donations we received.
Yes it’s that time of year again when we have our annual pantomime. The children had a wonderful time.
Year 4 have only been learning to play the violin for a short while yet they performed beautifully the other day to their parents and to the school. We all thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Well done Year 4. We think you rock.
On Thursday evening we held our winter disco. It was a joy to see our children having so much fun. Thank you to my staff for organising this event and for showing the children your ‘cool’ dance moves.
Year 5’s Egyptian Assembly
It was a full house this morning. Thank you to all who came to see another spectacular performance. The children showcased their learning over the past half term through song, dance, acting and of course by playing a selection of musical instruments. The grand finale was when parents and teachers joined in at the end. What an amazing community we are!
Mr Statham’s Values Assembly
To celebrate our value of kindness this half term, families of selected children were invited to attend Mr Statham’s assembly and join us in celebrating the many ways in which our children show their kindness. We would all like to thank you Mr Statham for the assembly and for our super values stars.
Have a smashing weekend.
